Explicit Stripe Checkout collects a separate $25 non-refundable application administration fee before manual review, or a server-verified voucher waives only it. Neither holds a vehicle. The fee is non-refundable after cancellation, decline, or unavailability except duplicate/erroneous charge correction or applicable law.
After approval and booking-specific signature/initials, verified $500 reservation-deposit payment performs a final availability check and credits the trip once. This is not a damage/security deposit. The remaining rental balance is due before pickup. Amounts, purpose, currency, ownership, and deadlines are server-authoritative. Only verified Stripe webhooks reconcile received money; redirects never mark paid. Customer cancellation never implies a refund; refunds are separate audited administrator operations.
Tolls aggregate into one post-trip total and renter-liable violations are individually itemized. Signed mileage/travel addenda apply only after customer signature. Each post-trip request requires explicit customer Checkout; no automatic saved-card charges or permission to charge an unspecified saved method is created.
